McDonagh (rest) was at practice Friday and will suit up for Game 1 versus Montreal on Sunday, according to Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com.

McDonagh (rest) won't play Wednesday versus the Rangers, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Scouting Report

Has settled into more of a shutdown role in his 30s, though he is not a zero offensively. Is still capable of logging big minutes every night because he is a strong skater who can play in all situations. Has great hockey sense and he also moves well. Can play a shutdown role with aplomb because he can make life difficult for opposing forwards (while adding some scoring). Is not a great option on the power play, though.

Long Range Potential: Solid, two-way defenseman.
